Shriners Children’s – Portland offers specialized care for a wide range of pediatric orthopedic conditions. Other specialties available at our facility include fracture and sports injury treatment, scoliosis & spine care, and cleft lip and palate care.
Job Summary:
Shriners Children’s has a great opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist to join our team! Respiratory therapy responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation, management, education, rehabilitation, and care of patients with needs related to the cardiopulmonary system. Provides support and services to other departments with patient care needs. Maintains competency with all respiratory therapy procedures and equipment. Promotes quality patient care in a safe work environment. Maintains effective communication will all levels of hospital personnel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy required
- Respiratory Therapy license in the State of Oregon required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
- At least 3 years of clinical experience, including adult and/or pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) experience preferred
